
Boyd Acres (Northeast Bend)
Located the Northeast quadrant of Bend, the Boyd Acres neighborhood is a mixture of residential homes, businesses, parks and trails. This area provides easy access to Hwy 97 and features many neighborhood parks and options for schools. A diverse neighborhood with many subdivisions to choose from, all featuring their own unique amenities. Canal and Mountain views are common in this area of town.

Landmarks in this neighborhood include:
Boyd Cabins Historical Site– Currently Pomegranate Home and Garden, this site was one of Bend’s original homesteads sitting on over 600 acres.
McKay Cottage Historical Site– Now a quaint restaurant, the Cottage is the former home of Bend Oregon pioneers Clyde and Olive McKay and their son, Oregon State Senator Gordon McKay. In 1973 the McKay house was moved to its present location on O.B. Riley Road across from the Deschutes River.
Nels and Lillian Anderson House- What was once a 300 acre homestead on which the Andersons operated a dairy farm became a designated historic and cultural resource in 2009.
Pilot Butte Canal– Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2016, the Pilot Butte Canal has been providing irrigation to farms and ranches in Central Oregon since 1904. The water in the canal comes from the Deschutes River and runs from April to October.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad– In the Boyd Acres neighborhood, the railroad runs through both Cooley and Butler Market Roads and the warning horn can be heard throughout the neighborhood a few times a day.

Boyd Park
20750 NE Comet Ln.
Located in north east Bend, Boyd Park provides an interesting combination of developed areas and wild spaces. The developed portions of the park feature open lawn play areas, a picnic pavilion, a children’s playground and a half-court basketball court. The wild spaces of the park include soft surface trails that wind through native landscapes with rock outcroppings and superb mountain and desert views.
Canal Row Park
1630 NE Butler Market Rd.
Opened in the fall of 2016, Canal Row Park is a neighborhood park at the corner of Butler Market and Brinson Blvd in northeast Bend. It features walking trails and a variety of picnic and play areas, including a seasonal water play area that celebrates the history of canals in Central Oregon.
Harvest Park
63240 Lavacrest St.
Completed in October 2009, this park features picnic facilities, a playground, open lawn play areas, accessible pathways, and nature trails that wind through preserved natural areas.
Pine Nursery Park
3750 NE Purcell Blvd
A large community park in NE Bend, Pine Nursery Park includes a sports complex for field sports, natural areas, fitness trails, disc golf course, bike trails, a 14-acre off-leash area, all-abilities playground, pickleball courts and room for future expansion.
Sawyer Park
62999 OB Riley Rd.
A large park stretching along both sides of the Deschutes River. Formerly a state park dedicated to the District in 1980. The park is connected by trail to Sawyer Uplands Neighborhood Park and River Glenn Natural Area. A footbridge over the river leads to the Deschutes River Trail and connections to First Street Rapids Park, Sawyer Uplands Park and Archie Briggs Natural Area. The site is adjacent to the Rivers Edge golf course.
Rockridge Park
NE 18th Street and Egypt Drive
This undeveloped site is located along NE 18th Street adjacent to the Sky View Middle School. It is surrounded on the west and south by rapidly developing residential neighborhoods. The landscape is typical Central Oregon high desert characterized by juniper, sage, bitterbrush and lava rock outcrops.
